| A True Challenge; Akira patrols and runs into a legend | |

Looking for a true challenge Akira went searching for the famed “Desert Wolf”. A noted character wanted by the USMP for the theft of the Gundam power armor Sandrock. The Desert Wolf had not been seen in ages but rumors and speculations surround him. That is where Akira and many others before him picked up the trail. Those who challenge the Desert Wolf are judged. Many do not survive, little escape, and few manage to follow the legend into battle at his side. Now it was Akira’s turn to see where he would fit into the legend. “Ready when you are.” Saladin the man known as the Desert Wolf said as he readied himself in a fighting stance. Akira did his best to keep cool but even in this situation fighting such an opponent even had him nervous. Like many times before in the dojo Akira began his attack against a much more seasoned opponent. Akira moved forward and swung his right beam saber down. Rather than blocking the attack Saladin simply sidestepped Akira’s attack. Again and again Akira attempted to land a hit on Saladin but got nowhere. “You need to mean it when you attack.” Saladin made his move and swung the massive heat shotel the Sandrock used. Akira was barely able to block the attack and it required every bit of strength he had in order to not be blown away. The ground surrounding Akira was torn asunder from the sheer force of the attack. Sinking several feet Akira had to get out of the situation and attacked back. Saladin jumped in order to avoid Akira’s beam sabers. “I thought this would be at least going better…” Akira said as he landed back on the ground on the edge of the sunken crater. Just as Akira readied to attack again Saladin suddenly appeared behind him. “How did he do that?!” Shocked Akira was unable to block or dodge the attack. The massive heat shotel split open Akira’s back with ease and brought him to his knees. “Damn he is good.” Saladin brought down his heat shotels to finish Akira but was stopped when the Masurao blocked with its beam sabers. Once more the ground rippled and then exploded around the two warriors. Despite his injury Akira was not finished. Rolling out from underneath the Sandrock’s attack Akira leapt back up to his feet. Already Saladin was on Akira and another swing of the heat shotel forced Akira to block. Struggling for a moment Akira is able hold on a bit longer this time before backing off. “Enough… you show promise and as such I will not kill you this evening.” Saladin said as he holstered the heat shotels. “Rest now for we begin again tomorrow.” Result: “Desert Wolf” Wins Akira in Masurao: +6XP and +3% Sync: 2 Days Repairs |
